Strength and support that make them comfortable to sit in. Built for backcountry travel, these are the chairs that go where other chairs can’t.
BUILT FROM THE BEST
Our poles are different. Ordinary poles are susceptible to stress cracking – a construction phenomenon that can only be avoided by adding more mass. That means more weight. Our exclusive DAC TH72M alloy eliminates stress cracking, so we can make our poles thinner, so that they are both lighter and stronger. This is our secret sauce. This is what keeps us ahead of the rest.
Seated in Strength
The Chair Zero and Chair Zero High-Back put serious strength in the seat. We take light, durable 100D polyester and weave in Aramid – a military-grade fiber known for its exceptional strength – to create a light, durable ripstop fabric that stands up to sun, grime, granite, and years of sitting.
A GREENER PROCESS
We anodize our poles – others don’t – using a unique Green Anodization process to give our poles their scratch resistant, wear-protective finish. Used on 70% of our poles, our method cuts the use of harmful chemicals. And it results in poles that are stronger, longer lasting, and look great on your chair.
PRECISE ENGINEERING
Each pole segment is engineered and designed for its intended purpose - to support the full weight of sitting vs. the partial weight of leaning back. Each pole’s total weight (how much it weighs and how much weight it needs to support) is carefully considered in the design process.
